Carers have an important part to play in an effective health care system. There has been a growing emphasis in recent years on the need to provide comprehensive support to carers, since they often face greater social deprivation, isolation and ill health:
- Those caring for 50 hours a week or more are twice as likely to experience poor health, particularly mental health problems (Carers UK, 2014).
- 34.4% of Carers report being in very good health compared to 51.8% for the population not providing any unpaid care (Ealing JSNA 2024).
We would like to offer our identified carers annual health checks and annual flu jabs.
Please also have a look at information on our notice boards in the waiting room, which helps to highlight the support available locally.
